Looking
back at the Atlantic Avenue trestle on 100th Street, also known as Ocean
Avenue.
This is another
picture of the Rockaway Beach Branch's power substation. This building
has been boarded up for many years. It would be quite interesting
to see what remains inside the building. The substation is located
west of the RR ROW, on the south side of Atlantic Avenue.
Someone
installed a metal partition that separates the Woodhaven station (northbound
platform) from a piece of property directly south of the station.
Wonder why they did that?? ......
