This
is the section of the Rockaway Beach Branch where the branch passed under
the IND A subway line. Notice how tall the Rockaway Beach Branch
utility poles are in this area. The poles were engineered this way
so that the LIRR utility wires could go over the IND line, rather than
under the IND trestle.

closer view of the IND subway line trestle crossing over the Rockaway Beach
Branch. We will later see how the IND A was integrated with the Rockaway
Beach Branch as the tour continues it's journey south. At this point,
take note of the different elevations of the various RR ROWs.
