This is a new
pier that has been added to the Riverside Park/Hudson River Park complex.
New lighting, seating, and other amenities have been installed on the pier.
Its a favorite attraction for park visitors.

beautiful brickwork that provides the surface. Metal railings and
seats line the parameter of the pier.

Park. The old remains of the Miller Highway (the green steel with
the arches) abuts the new West Side Highway viaduct.

of the old Miller Highway. This highway was part of the West Side
improvement project which was led by Robert Moses.
Under the viaduct,
once can see that portions of the old roadway still remain, while other
sections have been removed.
