A view out of
the overpass, looking east. One can see all of the garbage that has
accumulated on the side of the right-of-way.
Proceeding
west, the railroad right-of-way gently curves as it winds its way around
the neighborhoods of Queens.
This overpass
was recently reconstructed, as illustrated by the new cement facade and
blue girders. Unfortunately, graffiti mars the base of the stanchions
and the overpass walls.
Further along
the branch, an overpass and building hover above the right-of-way.
The right-of-way curves again to continue in a westerly direction.
A closer view
of the overpass. The Bushwick Branch diverges off to the left.
