The
large red buildings at the end of the yard are apartment buildings.
These buildings are sort of a landmark in Bay Ridge. The Gowanus
expressway and the Shore Parkway merge at this point.

The railroad ROW goes under the apartment buildings and the Gowanus
Expressway. The Gowanus expressway actually runs parallel to the
railroad ROW for a little while along 65th Street, before the expressway
veers of and cuts through Bay Ridge for it's route.
A dirt path
used by railroad maintenance equipment runs along the ROW in the yard.
